Swiss Watch Repair Center (NYC)

I had to replace the battery for my Breitling B-1 but I did not want to send it to BUSA as it probably will take longer than "15 mins". Well, my B-1 is my tool watch, I rely on it to wake me up everyday so to be without it for more than a week is unacceptable :)

I found this company from the list of authorized repair centers on Breitling website some time back. It is a small repair shop in an office building on 42nd Street. I waited for 15 mins to get the battery replaced and pressure tested. I was charged $27 + tax which is quite reasonable, for an authorized repair center to work on it. I had some comments that it is expensive for a battery charge. Well, yes if you compare it to a water dealer not authorized by Breitling. So for a peace of mind, it is money well spent.

They are also the authorized repair center for several other Swiss watches - Omega, Rado, Certina, Tissot, Hamilton, Longines, and maybe TAG Heuer.

I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs to service their Swiss watches or just a battery change.

As promised here is the other Cyber cross model, the JG-200. This watch is slightly cooler and more ubergeek than the JG-100 models. It has a detachable module that vibrates during alarm and game mode.

Casio Cyber Cross JG-100 (Japanese Version)

As promised here is the Cyber Cross JG-100. This model came in a different packaging in Japanese. I got this and the JG-200 off a member from a watch forum. Watch looks new and never worn.

All the functions are in Japanese words except for the time-keeping mode as seen. The functions are the same as the JG-100C model except this one has a Remote Control function. I never tested the remote control function because I don't think it works with newer televisions; considering this model is made in 1994/1995.

Casio Cyber Cross JG-100C Infrared Beamer

I came across this watch in Yahoo auctions. This watch from the early 1990s. This particular model has the commands in English unlike its Japanese model counterpart (which I will be posting up later). With this watch, you can "talk" with other infrared Beamer (cyber cross) watches or Casio My Magic Diaries.

Display is easy to read and the alarm is loud (unlike the newer Casio watches). Weapons from the Tower Master battle game appears alternately in time-keeping mode with each passing second, which makes looks really cool.

The strap is particularly small, about 18mm width. There is no light function and you need another cyber cross watch to play the game and transmit messages.

It has the following features:
- Infrared "magic beam" communication
- Electronic telephone directory/ memo pad
- Tower Master Adventure battle game
- 10 pre-programmed messages
- Stopwatch and daily alarm

Looks like something Inspector Gadget would have on his wrist. So ubergeek. This is a definitely a great collector's watch - as there is not many around.
